Manage bookings directly in WordPress
Booking Calendar is designed for appointments, reservations, rentals, services, consultations, classes, events, and other availability-based bookings. Add a responsive availability calendar and booking form to a website, accept booking requests, and manage them from the WordPress administration area.
The paid editions covered here are Booking Calendar Personal and Booking Calendar Business Medium. Personal provides the foundation for managing multiple bookable resources, while Business Medium extends the workflow with advanced pricing, payment, and form capabilities.
Personal edition capabilities
Booking Calendar Personal lets you create an unlimited number of separate booking resources or calendars. Resources can represent services, properties, or other items visitors can book. This is useful for businesses that need distinct availability calendars for several rooms, providers, services, rental items, or locations.
The edition also provides advanced configuration for booking forms and email templates. Customize the appearance of the form and the content of messages sent during booking activity. Administrators can manage bookings with actions including CSV export, adding notes, editing, duplicating, and changing resources.
Visitors can use responsive forms on desktop and mobile. Depending on the booking workflow, they can select full-day dates, appointment start times, or time slots, enter contact details, and submit a request. Administrators can manage, approve, decline, and edit bookings, while email notifications can be sent to administrators and customers.
Business Medium for pricing and deposits
Business Medium includes the Personal capabilities and adds tools for more detailed booking costs. Use seasonal prices to set daily rates for seasons or weekdays, either as fixed costs or percentages of the original daily cost. Multi-day pricing can vary according to the number of selected days and the season of the check-in date.
Pricing rules can also include last-minute and early-booking discounts. Advanced cost settings allow extra charges such as taxes and additional services, or adjustments based on the number of visitors. Deposit payments let visitors pay a fixed amount or percentage of the original booking cost after creating a booking.
Forms, calendars, and administration
Multiple custom forms allow different booking configurations for different resources or services. Booking Calendar can display unavailable dates and time intervals, support multi-step forms through the Drag & Drop Form Builder, and synchronize bookings using .ics feeds. Google Calendar events can also be imported.
Available workflows include full-day property bookings, service and provider appointments, event registration, inquiry forms, request forms, and simple multi-step contact forms with request listing and email notifications. Business Medium also includes the online payment capability available in the paid versions covered by the source information, along with the broader payment and booking controls provided by higher editions.
Installation and setup
Install Booking Calendar in WordPress, add the booking calendar and form to the appropriate website area, then configure resources, availability, notifications, and booking rules. Personal users can begin with resource and form management; Business Medium users can additionally configure pricing, discounts, advanced costs, and deposit payments for the required booking workflow.
