Serve mobile visitors a configured theme
Any Mobile Theme Switcher Pro detects mobile browsers and loads the mobile theme selected in the WordPress administration settings. It is intended for sites that use separate themes for mobile visitors and want to assign those themes according to device or browser category.
The plugin does not include a pre-built mobile theme. Instead, it provides the switching function, allowing you to configure the mobile themes you want to use. This approach is useful when your site already has mobile-oriented themes or when different mobile browser groups need different presentation choices.
Browser-specific theme selection
You can select a different mobile theme for each supported browser option. The listed categories include iPhone and iPod, iPad, Palm OS, Android, Android Tablet, Windows Mobile, BlackBerry, Opera Mini, and other mobile browsers.
After the settings are configured, the plugin detects most mobile browsers and redirects visitors to the mobile theme assigned to the relevant category. This gives you a way to manage device-specific presentation from one administration area rather than applying the same mobile theme to every mobile visitor.
Pro features for mobile delivery
The Pro edition adds features for sites that need more control over mobile browsing and mobile entry points.
- W3 Total Cache compatibility: Use the Pro version with W3 Total Cache.
- Separate mobile home page: Serve a different home page for mobile devices.
- QR code for mobile bookmarking: Provide a QR code option for mobile bookmarking.
- Better mobile detection: Use the Pro edition’s enhanced mobile detection capability.
- Click to Call: Add click-to-call behavior to phone numbers.
Desktop and mobile switching
Visitors can be given a way to switch between the desktop and mobile themes. The source supports placing a Switch to Desktop or Switch to Mobile link through a shortcode or by creating a menu item with the link. Follow the instructions available in the plugin’s settings page when adding this option to your site.
This can be useful when a visitor prefers a different version of the site than the one selected by browser detection. It also provides a practical way to make both theme views available without removing the automatic mobile theme workflow.
Installation and configuration
Install Any Mobile Theme Switcher Pro on your WordPress site and open its settings page. Select the mobile theme for each browser category, configure any separate mobile home page, and set the available switching options. If your site uses W3 Total Cache, configure the cache setup with the Pro compatibility in mind. The plugin supplies switching functionality; it does not supply a mobile theme.
