Advanced Shipping Rates for WooCommerce Premium, previously known as Fish and Ships, is designed for stores that need shipping rules based on more than a single product or cart value. Build rates around weight, size, volume, dimensions, product details, cart conditions, dates, regions, user roles, and other selectors without writing code.
The plugin supports conditional shipping calculations, free shipping, flat rates, and rules that disable a shipping method. You can combine selectors and product groups to create shipping logic suited to different order types and store requirements.
Premium selectors and conditions
The Premium version expands the available rule criteria with additional product, cart, date, time, and regional selectors. These include volumetrics, combined dimensions, length plus girth, product category, product tag, user role, cart totals, and product-specific fields. Seven date and time selectors cover the day of the week, day of the month, year, full date, and time-related conditions. You can also use zone region and ZIP or postcode conditions.
Complex conditions can use the OR operator as well as the existing AND logic. This lets you create rules that respond to alternative requirements instead of requiring every condition to match. Premium range assistance supports price, quantity, volume, volumetric, or dimension-based ranges.
Group products for accurate calculations
Products can be grouped before they are passed to the rule selectors. Available approaches include no grouping, grouping by product ID or SKU, grouping all variations of the same product, grouping by shipping class, or grouping every product into one group. This provides a way to structure calculations around the products being shipped.
Advanced calculation and control tools
Premium features add advanced flow control, including conditional rule skipping and skipping products on subsequent rules. Advanced minimum and maximum calculations can reset previous results. Volumetric support works with selectors and range calculations, while user-role rules can set distinct costs or free shipping.
The Packer algorithm fits products into predefined shipping boxes. You can hide other shipping methods from this plugin, WooCommerce native methods, and third-party methods. Conditional coupons, custom messages, renamed shipping methods, subtitles, helper text, WooCommerce notices, and conditional order notes extend the control available at checkout. You can also change cart total messages when no shipping options are available and use mathematical expressions or formulas for shipping rate calculations.
Multicurrency and store workflow
The plugin supports multicurrency setups through the official WooCommerce multi-currency plugin, WPML with WCML MultiCurrency, Aelia, WOOCS, Multi Currency for WC, and WP Wham Currency Switcher. You can let exchange rates handle conversions or set custom shipping rates for each currency.
Built-in import and export tools help duplicate or move shipping method configurations between sites. Contextual help, documentation, a built-in log system, and ready-to-use samples support rule setup and troubleshooting.
Installation and setup
