Interactive 3D presentation for WordPress
3D Viewer Pro turns product pages and other WordPress content into interactive 3D experiences. Visitors can rotate, zoom, pan, and inspect models with a mouse or touchscreen, making it easier to show products from multiple angles instead of relying only on flat images.
The viewer can be used in posts, pages, widgets, Elementor layouts, and WooCommerce product pages. It supports GLB, GLTF, OBJ, STL, FBX, DAE, PLY, and 3DS files, while responsive rendering helps models display across devices.
Pro controls for a more tailored viewer
The Pro edition adds settings for adjusting how each model looks and behaves. You can connect models through external URLs, including sources such as Amazon S3, Google Drive, and CDNs. This provides an alternative to uploading the model file directly to WordPress.
- Lighting controls: Fine-tune lighting, shadow intensity, and exposure.
- Loading presentation: Show a poster image while the model loads and display a loading progress bar.
- Viewer behavior: Enable or disable auto-rotate, fullscreen, and autoplay.
- Camera setup: Choose a custom camera angle for the initial view.
- Product galleries: Add multiple models to a WooCommerce product through a 3D gallery.
- Product annotations: Use hotspots and annotations to highlight details within a model.
Practical ways to use it
For an online store, a WooCommerce 3D gallery can present a product through several models, while hotspots and annotations can draw attention to specific features. A custom camera angle helps establish the intended first impression, and poster images provide a defined visual while larger files load.
For content sites, the viewer can be embedded in posts, pages, or widgets with a shortcode. Gutenberg and Elementor integration supports visual page-building workflows, including a drag-and-drop Elementor widget with full viewer settings. Lazy loading delays models until they are visible, and the live editor preview lets you see the model while configuring it.
Augmented reality and supporting features
Augmented Reality is included in the plugin and can be enabled for a model. Visitors on supported phones can place a model in their own room, while desktop visitors can scan a QR code to open the same model on a phone. AR placement can be set for a floor or wall, with an optional iOS .usdz source. WebXR, Scene Viewer, and Quick Look are supported.
The viewer also supports environment images for lighting and reflections, HDR skybox backgrounds, touch and mouse interaction, and an optional download button for the 3D file.
Quick setup
- Go to 3D Viewer → Add New in the WordPress dashboard.
- Upload a model or paste an external URL.
- Configure lighting, rotation, background, camera, and other settings.
- Save the viewer to generate a shortcode.
- Paste the shortcode into a post, page, or widget.
For WooCommerce, edit a product, use the 3D Viewer Settings metabox to upload a model or add an external link, and publish the product. You can also add the 3D Viewer block in the block editor.
