Build checkout agreements around your store
Additional Terms Pro is a paid WooCommerce extension for stores that need more than one customer agreement. Create separate checkboxes for refund policies, age restrictions, pre-order conditions, subscription terms, delivery instructions, liability waivers, warranty acknowledgements, privacy notices, or payment-method information.
Unlike a single general terms checkbox, the Pro edition lets you create unlimited terms checkboxes. Each agreement can be configured for a particular policy, product line, customer situation, or checkout requirement.
Place agreements where they matter
Show a checkbox on the cart, the checkout, or both. This lets you request agreement before customers proceed to checkout or present a policy at the final ordering stage. Optional agreements can have a default checkbox state, while required agreements can prevent checkout until the customer accepts them.
Additional Terms Pro can link an agreement to any post type, rather than limiting the link to standard WordPress pages. You can also use ready-made message templates for checkbox labels and error text, then edit those messages to suit your store.
Apply agreements conditionally
Smart conditional display helps show the relevant agreement at the right time. Conditions can be based on products, categories, tags, WooCommerce brands, product types, or shipping classes in the cart.
You can also match agreements against applied coupons, cart subtotal, cart total, discount total, shipping total, or cart weight. Further conditions include the selected payment gateway, shipping location, billing location, or user role. These rules are useful when a policy applies only to a particular product group, offer, destination, payment method, or customer type.
Add configurable agreement fees
Pro can add a fee when a customer accepts an agreement. Configure the fee as a fixed amount or a percentage, and set the relevant tax options. Fees can be used with either required or optional agreements, giving you a way to associate an additional charge with a selected checkout condition.
Keep acceptance details with the order
When a customer places an order, agreement information is saved with the WooCommerce order notes. This gives your store a record of the checkout agreements associated with that order and supports internal review, customer-service work, and dispute prevention.
Support different WooCommerce checkout layouts
The plugin supports the classic WooCommerce checkout shortcode and the WooCommerce Checkout Block. With the block-based checkout, add the dedicated Additional Terms block inside the checkout layout and position it where required.
The product also includes HPOS compatibility and is translation-ready with WPML and Polylang support.
Practical setup workflow
- Create a separate checkbox for each agreement you need.
- Write the label and error message, then link the agreement to the relevant content.
- Choose whether the checkbox is required or optional and set its default state when applicable.
- Select cart, checkout, or both as the display location.
- Build conditional rules for products, totals, locations, payment methods, coupons, or user roles.
- Configure a fixed or percentage fee and tax settings when needed.
