Sugar Calendar Pro is a lightweight event management plugin for WordPress. It is designed for sites that need to publish calendars, manage registrations, sell tickets, and present event information without a complicated setup. Use it for in-person gatherings, virtual meetings, one-time events, or recurring schedules.
Events are created from the WordPress dashboard through a clean interface. Add names, descriptions, dates, times, durations, venues, and all-day or multi-day details. Pro also includes the essential calendar, registration, and ticketing capabilities available in Sugar Calendar.
Present calendars clearly
Display events as a monthly calendar or an upcoming events list. Calendar and list layouts can be added with Gutenberg blocks, Elementor widgets, or shortcodes. Visitors can switch between month, week, and day views, while responsive layouts help the calendar work across different screen sizes. An optional dark mode is also supported.
Organize events into separate calendars or categories for different event types, departments, or topics. Visitors can filter events by category and by customizable event tags, making it easier to find relevant activities.
Support registrations and ticket sales
Connect Sugar Calendar with Stripe to accept credit card payments for paid event registration. Free events can also use ticketing without a payment provider, while still providing an attendee list. Registration forms can collect additional details such as meal choices, t-shirt sizes, company names, or other information needed for the event.
Pro includes RSVP management and attendee controls for keeping track of ticket holders and registrations. View attendee details in the WordPress dashboard, then export attendee or event lists to CSV for sharing or analysis.
Connect online and local events
Connect a Zoom account and add a Zoom meeting while editing an event. Sugar Calendar creates the meeting and displays joining details on the event page. For recurring events, Pro provides one join link for the entire series.
For physical venues, enter an event address to display an interactive Google Map on the event details page. Calendar feeds and subscriptions support Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, Apple Calendar, and direct ICS downloads. Add to Calendar controls can appear on event pages.
Manage event data and communication
Send email notifications to ticket holders from the WordPress dashboard when schedules, venues, or other plans change. Pro supports customizable transactional email layouts and can remove the Sugar Calendar branding row from supported emails.
Export events as JSON or CSV, choose a custom date range, and import events from a JSON export file. A one-click migration is available for events, calendars, and other details from The Events Calendar.
Installation and first steps
Add Sugar Calendar Pro to your WordPress site, then create an event from the dashboard. Enter its schedule and venue, choose a calendar or category, and select the registration, ticketing, RSVP, Zoom, map, or calendar options needed. Finally, publish a calendar or list using a block, Elementor widget, or shortcode.
