Free Shipping Per Product Pro works as a regular WooCommerce shipping method for stores that need to offer free delivery on specific products. Instead of making free shipping available across an entire store, you can identify eligible products and connect the method to the shipping zones where it should apply.
This approach is useful when only certain products qualify for free shipping. It gives you a straightforward way to organize delivery rules around product selection while continuing to manage the method through WooCommerce shipping settings.
How product eligibility works
To make a product eligible, create a shipping class named free-shipping, then assign that class to each product that should qualify. The shipping class provides the product-level basis for applying the free shipping method.
- Create a shipping class named free-shipping.
- Assign the class to the products that should be eligible.
- Use the Free Shipping Per Product method in the relevant shipping zones.
This setup is practical for stores with a defined group of products that should receive free delivery. You can apply the same method to the products that share the free-shipping class while leaving other products outside that selection.
Shipping zone configuration
Because the plugin acts as a WooCommerce shipping method, its configuration is handled through the standard shipping zone area. You can assign Free Shipping Per Product to one or more shipping zones, allowing the method to be available in the locations represented by those zones.
This creates a clear workflow: first identify eligible products with the shipping class, then choose the shipping zones in which the method should be offered. The arrangement keeps product eligibility and zone availability as separate parts of your store’s shipping setup.
Checkout method control
At the method’s settings, you can choose whether to hide other shipping methods at checkout when free shipping is available. This option helps you decide how checkout should present delivery choices in situations where an eligible product qualifies for free shipping.

Installation and setup
- Install and activate the plugin.
- Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Shipping > Shipping Zones.
- Assign Free Shipping Per Product to one or more shipping zones.
- Open the method’s settings and choose whether to hide other shipping methods when free shipping is available.
- Create the free-shipping shipping class and assign it to the required products.
