Understand activity on your website
Web-Stat Premium extends the Web-Stat visitor reporting service with additional information about how people interact with a website. The reports are presented through live, intuitive charts and graphics, giving site owners a way to review visitor activity from the WordPress administration area or through the Web-Stat website.
Web-Stat runs in invisible mode on a site by default, so it is not visible to visitors. A visitor counter can be enabled from the WordPress administration menu under Settings > Web-Stat if that display is wanted. The basic Web-Stat plugin initializes automatically after installation and activation.
Premium reporting features
Upgrading the account to the Premium version provides a broader set of statistics and monitoring options:
- Page views: Review page-view activity across the site.
- Click-paths: See the paths visitors take through pages.
- Bounce rates: Examine visits that end without further navigation.
- Visit depths: Check how deeply visitors move through the site.
- Time-on-site: Review the amount of time spent during visits.
- Signed-in users: View the name, email, and photo of site users when they are signed in.
- Conversions: Include conversion information in the available statistics.
- Connect time: Review connection time to the site.
- Downtime alerts: Receive downtime notifications by email and SMS.
Use cases for site owners
Premium reports can help organize several types of website review. Page views and click-paths provide visibility into which pages visitors access and how they move between them. Bounce rates, visit depth, and time-on-site add further context when assessing visitor behavior and the flow of a site.
Conversion reporting can be used alongside the other available statistics when reviewing outcomes from site activity. Signed-in user details provide a view of identified users in the circumstances described by the service. Connect-time information and downtime alerts address availability monitoring, with alerts delivered through email and SMS.
The reporting environment is intended for practical access rather than a visible front-end element. Visitors will not see Web-Stat by default, while administrators can check information from the WordPress admin menu or log in through the Web-Stat website.
Accessing your reports
Web-Stat loads from the WordPress administration menu. To find the login information for the Web-Stat website, open Settings: Web-Stat in the WordPress admin menu and then open the My Info section of the Web-Stat Settings Panel. This section contains the login ID, which is the account email, and the password used to access the account at Web-Stat.
Installation and Premium access
Install the Web-Stat plugin, activate it, and allow it to initialize automatically. The service works out of the box with all themes. The basic version runs free, while the additional statistics listed above require an upgrade to the Premium account. The stated cost for upgrading is $9.50 per month.
