Organize WooCommerce product displays
Product Sort and Display for WooCommerce Premium helps structure how products appear throughout a WooCommerce store. Instead of relying on a largely date-based product order, the Premium edition groups products by category and gives store administrators more control over category order, product counts, navigation, and the presentation of category groups.
The Premium version includes the features available for the shop page and extends sorting and display controls to product category and product tag pages. This makes it suitable for stores that want a more consistent browsing structure across the wider catalog.
Category-based shop layouts
On the shop page, products can be shown by category, with category order changed through drag and drop. You can choose how many products appear for each category and provide a link for visitors to view all products. Product categories can also be switched on or off for shop page display.
- Sort products into category groups on the shop page.
- Change category order with drag and drop.
- Set the number of products shown in each category.
- Link category groups to view all products.
- Show products from child categories when a parent category has no products attached to it.
- Enable or disable product category display on the shop page.
Premium store-wide controls
Premium applies sorting and display settings to product category and product tag pages as well as the shop page. Subcategories with products can be shown on their parent category page. You can set product counts for the parent and each child category, or configure a parent category to show child categories and their products without showing parent-level products.
Settings can be applied globally from the administration dashboard, with individual settings available for each category. These settings include choices such as sort type and the number of products to show. Custom sorting for featured and on-sale products is added to the WooCommerce sorting options for category and tag pages.
Browsing and navigation features
The plugin can automatically place on-sale products first in each category and can also place featured products first. Endless scroll is available for the shop page, product category pages, and product tag pages. Choose automatic endless scrolling or scrolling activated by a click, and set how many category groups appear before pagination or endless scroll loads more content.
Intelligent navigation shows the current number of products being viewed and the total number in the category. When all products are displayed, a message indicates that there are no more products to view.
Visual separators and setup
A visual separator can be placed between product category groups. Its styling can be adjusted through the plugin’s style options without coding, including the padding above and below the separator in pixels.
Installation and setup
Install the Premium plugin in WordPress, then configure the shop page, product category pages, and product tag pages from the administration dashboard. Set category order, product counts, sorting choices, featured or sale prioritization, subcategory behavior, navigation, endless scrolling, and separator styling according to the store’s browsing structure.
