Build richer interactive maps in WordPress
Mapster WP Maps Pro is an advanced edition for creating more customized WordPress maps. It builds on map editing, feature creation, controls, popups, imports, shortcodes, and developer options, while adding further styling, layout, clustering, geolocation, and export capabilities.
Choose between MapLibre, Mapbox, and Google Maps, or use custom map styles and custom images as the map base. Pro adds 16 additional map styles, bringing the available total to 36, and supports scalable SVGs as custom map images. You can also create a 3D globe view, add 3D buildings, and set the map language.
Control the map presentation
Pro lets you restrict map movement to specific boundaries and define custom map sizes at different screen widths using mobile breakpoints. You can customize the map loading graphic and use advanced clustering options for cluster size, color, and settings. Clusters can also be replaced with images when a more distinctive presentation is needed.
For maps using Mapbox or MapLibre style JSONs, add a style switcher so visitors can change between styles. A layer switcher can turn layers from a Mapbox style on or off. You can also choose cooperative gestures to help avoid accidental map scrolling and add a custom HTML control for your own map interactivity.
More capable map controls
Manually order controls so they appear in the desired arrangement on the map. Pro adds high-accuracy geolocation, user heading, tracking as the user moves, and an accuracy circle. Geolocate visitors to their IP address and provide map tools that suit location-based applications and directories.
A print control allows users to download an image of the map. The download control lets users download all geographic features from the map. These options are useful when a map needs to function as more than a visual display and visitors need a printed or downloadable representation of its geographic information.
Connect map data with WordPress content
Add data to custom post types and place it on maps using the Mapster ACF field. This supports projects where geographic features need to be connected with WordPress content. The wider plugin also supports points, labels, text, markers, circles, lines, Bezier curves, and polygons, with popups, custom styling, and interactions by click or hover.
Workflow and developer options
Create or edit a map, choose its provider and style, add geographic features, configure controls, and place the result using shortcodes or block integrations. Import geoJSON, KML, GPX, or Shapefiles, with metadata retained in custom fields during import. Pro works alongside custom permalinks, map-event hooks, custom scripts, and shortcode output by feature IDs.
Installation
Add Mapster WP Maps Pro to your WordPress site, then open its map editor to create a map and configure its Pro settings. Select a map source or style, add data manually or through import, and place the finished map where needed using a shortcode or block integration.
