Set clearer purchase limits in WooCommerce
Min Max Quantities Pro helps WooCommerce store owners control how much customers can purchase and which order values are allowed. Rules can be applied globally, to individual products, to product variations, to categories, or to the cart. The Pro edition also supports price thresholds, user-role-based rules, combined rules for variable products, and custom error messages.
This makes the plugin useful for stores that sell products in packs, manage limited stock, set wholesale requirements, or need orders to meet a minimum or maximum value before checkout can continue.
Control product and category quantities
You can set minimum and maximum purchase quantities for products and categories. Customers cannot purchase below a configured minimum or above a configured maximum. Rules can be set for simple and variable products, with different values available for individual products and individual variations.
Quantity steps and groups let you define increments for products. Customers can then purchase in multiples of the specified step, which is useful for products sold in sets or bulk quantities. Grouped products can also have minimum and maximum quantity settings, minimum and maximum amounts, and quantity steps.
Add price and order requirements
Pro supports minimum and maximum total amounts for products. You can also set minimum and maximum order quantities and minimum and maximum order values. If an order falls below a required amount or exceeds an allowed amount, the order will not be processed according to the configured rule.
The plugin also supports a minimum total after discount, allowing the minimum price condition to be based on the order total after a discount has been applied. Separate cart-level rules can be configured, and cart rules take priority when they are set. When no cart rule is set, the cart maintains the applicable global or product rules.
Use role-based and variation rules
The Pro edition lets you create different limits for specific user roles. Rules can cover product quantity, category quantity, product totals, category totals, and cart limits. This can support different requirements for wholesale customers, retail customers, or custom user roles.
For variable products, you can either apply rules to individual variations or use combined rules. This gives you a way to manage related variations under shared conditions when that better matches your store’s purchasing model.
Communicate restrictions clearly
When a customer does not meet a configured requirement, the plugin displays an error message explaining the restriction. Pro lets you customize the text for restriction errors, helping you communicate quantity, price, or cart requirements more clearly.
Installation and setup
Add the Pro plugin to your WordPress site and open its settings in the WooCommerce administration area. Start by choosing whether a rule should apply globally, to a product, to a variation, to a category, or to the cart. Enter the required minimum, maximum, amount, or step values, then configure role-based or combined variation rules where needed.
Test a few customer cart scenarios after setup. Check quantities, product totals, category conditions, discounts, and cart limits so the displayed messages match the purchasing rules for your store.
