Build recurring offers in WooCommerce
YITH WooCommerce Subscription Premium is designed for stores that want to sell products or services through recurring subscription plans. It supports subscription-based business models for physical products, virtual products, downloadable products, training, memberships, consulting, coaching, hosting, and other recurring offers.
With the plugin, you can create subscription products and collect recurring payments on a daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, or other selected schedule. Customers can review their subscription information from the My Account area, while the store can manage subscription conditions and payment-related statuses from WooCommerce.
Premium tools for subscription plans
The Premium edition adds options that help you shape the buying experience and manage the subscription lifecycle. You can offer a trial period before a customer subscribes, request a sign-up fee, and synchronize subscription payments to a particular day of the week, month, or year. For example, payment dates can be aligned to the first day of each month.
Subscription status changes can also be automated around order and payment events. A subscription may be canceled when its associated order is canceled, suspended when a periodic payment fails, and automatically set to “Canceled” after three failed payment attempts with Stripe or PayPal. The plugin also lets you postpone automatic status changes for active, overdue, and suspended subscriptions by a selected number of hours.
Give customers more control
- Renew Now: let users force payment after the first failed attempt.
- Pause and resume: allow customers to pause a subscription a specified number of times and resume it later.
- Updated expiration: when a paused subscription resumes, its expiration date updates accordingly.
- Continued access: allow access to subscription content after expiration while waiting for payment.
- Access suspension: suspend access on the expiry date without deleting the subscription.
- Resubscription: let users resubscribe from the My Account page under the same conditions as the expired plan.
Manage deliveries and subscription boxes
For stores selling subscription-based deliveries, Premium includes tools for synchronizing deliveries to a selected day, such as a specific weekday or the first day of the month. You can print a PDF list of shipping labels containing delivery addresses and charge shipping fees once during the subscription period through one-time shipping.
The Subscription Box module lets customers sign up for a box and customize it by choosing the quantities and types of products included. This approach can suit recurring product bundles where shoppers need control over the contents of each box.
Product and payment setup
Subscription plans can be created for simple, virtual, or downloadable products, and variations can be used for different subscription plans and pricing. The source also identifies PayPal and Stripe in the payment and failed-payment workflows, with WooCommerce PayPal Payments available for PayPal-based payment processing.
Installation and setup
Install the plugin in a WooCommerce store, activate it, and create a subscription product. Choose the recurring schedule, define any trial or sign-up fee, configure payment and status behavior, then review the customer-facing information in My Account. For delivery products, set the shipping and synchronization rules before publishing the subscription offer.
