Build flexible post layouts in Elementor
AnWP Post Grid and Post Carousel Slider for Elementor Premium extends Elementor with tools for presenting WordPress posts in grid, slider, ticker, hero, mosaic, and card layouts. It is designed for blogs, news sites, magazines, and other content-focused websites that need more control over how posts are displayed.
The plugin works through Elementor widgets, so layouts can be assembled within the page builder. The available controls support different visual arrangements and responsive settings, allowing the number of columns to be set separately for desktop, tablet, and mobile. The plugin also supports RTL layouts and works with most themes out of the box.
Premium widgets and layouts
The Premium edition adds the following presentation options:
- Parallax Grid: Create a grid layout with a parallax presentation.
- Simple Ratio Grid and Scale Grid: Use additional grid treatments for arranging post content.
- News Ticker: Present posts in a ticker-style layout.
- Hero Slider, Mosaic Slider, and Card Slider: Choose from several slider formats for featured or grouped content.
- Widget Blocks: Use widget block functionality as part of the layout-building workflow.
The plugin also includes five grid and two slider widget types in its broader widget collection, including Simple Grid, Light Grid, Classic Grid, Simple Slider, Hero Block, and Classic Slider. Premium adds further ways to shape the appearance and presentation of post collections.
Filtering and content sources
Post grids can be filtered by category, tag, author, post ID, post format, most commented posts, latest posts, oldest posts, and other available criteria. Premium adds custom taxonomy support, a header category filter, taxonomy redirects, and advanced pagination. These options are useful when a site needs to organize content by a custom classification or guide visitors through larger post collections.
Grid layouts can include pagination or a “load more” button. Category colors, customizable widget options, and the template system provide additional control over the displayed output. The template system can override output layouts in the theme, giving site builders another way to adapt presentation.
Responsive page-building workflow
To create a layout, add one of the plugin’s widgets to an Elementor page, select the desired post filters, choose the grid or slider settings, and adjust the responsive column values. A site can use a simple grid for an archive, a hero slider for highlighted posts, a news ticker for updates, or a card slider for a compact content section.
Installation and requirements
The plugin requires PHP 5.6 or greater and WordPress 4.7 or greater. Elementor is required, and Elementor’s minimum requirements also list PHP 5.6 or greater, with PHP 7.0 or greater recommended.
To install it, go to Plugins > Add New in WordPress, search for “AnWP Post Grid for Elementor,” select Install Now, and activate the plugin. Install and activate the required Elementor plugin, then add the available widgets while editing a page with Elementor.
