Build more with the WordPress block editor
PublishPress Blocks Pro adds advanced capabilities to the WordPress block editor for teams, publishers, and site owners who need more control over content creation. It combines block management tools with extra blocks for layouts, marketing sections, content displays, and publishing workflows.
Use the Pro edition to control how blocks are used, decide when content is visible, create reusable layouts, and give editors a broader collection of building blocks. It is suited to professional websites that need consistent editing options without relying only on the default WordPress block set.
Pro blocks for pages and content
- Countdown block: Create a customizable countdown for an event or other scheduled occasion.
- Feature List block: Present the items included with a product or service in a dedicated list.
- Pricing Table block: Show purchase or subscription options in a structured pricing layout.
- Google Fonts with core blocks: Use Google fonts with selected core Gutenberg blocks, including paragraph and heading blocks.
The plugin also includes more than 20 extra blocks across the wider PublishPress Blocks collection. These include accordions, galleries, sliders, tabs, maps, tables, recent posts, buttons, columns, contact forms, images, videos, and WooCommerce product displays. The WooCommerce block offers Grid and Slider views for products.
Content display and reusable publishing tools
The Content Display block can create blog layouts, author-specific post lists, or complete newspaper-style front pages. Choose from Grid, Frontpage, List, Newspaper, Masonry, and Slider layouts. Content can be filtered by author, category, or tag, while layouts can include information such as posted date, updated date, images, and authors.
PublishPress Blocks also provides management features for editorial workflows. Block Permissions let you control which user roles can use selected blocks, including default WordPress blocks. Block Controls can manage visibility by user role, date, time, device, screen size, and day of the week. These settings help tailor what editors can add and what visitors see in particular circumstances.
Use Block Styles to provide custom CSS styles that editors can apply quickly. Block Usage can scan posts to find where blocks are used, while Reusable Blocks gives you a central way to access and edit reusable content. Auto-Insert Blocks can place blocks automatically in locations within posts.
Installation and use
